MicroLead and Mobile Money for the Poor are hosting a joint learning event in Uganda from 23-27 February 2015. The event entitled Reaching Rural Areas with Digital Financial Services will provide the opportunity to meet agents and clients as well as discuss saving groups linkages, managing rural agents, small holder farmer initiatives, and designing services appropriate for rural households.

Participants from over 20 countries from Asia and Africa are participating in this large knowledge sharing event. Representatives from mobile network operators (Airtel, Etisalat, Lonestar, MTN, Ncell, MTN, Tigo, TNM, Orange etc) and financial service providers (AB Bank, ASA, BCEL, BRAC, CARD, CRDB, Equity, ESEVA, Fececam, Fidelity Bank, FINCA, Global IME, Laxmi, MSB, Mwanga, NBS, OIBM, PostBank, SASL, Ugafode, Woccu, etc), and other non-bank providers such as Zoona have been invited to share their experience and learn from each other.
